Shandrani Beachcomber: 35th Anniversary

This glorious resort in south-east Mauritius has been a Beachcomber landmark since 1991.

An exemplary piece of paradise, surrounded by turquoise waters and plentiful coconut palm trees, this is a picture-perfect location for holidaymakers looking for an opportunity to relax in this haven.

Three pristine beaches, lush tropical gardens and large pools can be enjoyed in an unmistakably tropical atmosphere.

Several events have been planned to mark the celebration of the hotel’s longevity, including on a Tuesday with a Mauritian buffet at Le Grand Port, with a live sega performance in tow.

Wednesday’s experience will be a cocktail party reception to thank guests for their long relationship with the Shandrani Beachcomber.

Saturdays mark 35 minutes of yoga as a nod to every year that the resort has been open, followed by an evening with a DJ set and a barbeque.

A Shandrani Surprise cocktail can be enjoyed at the bar, as a long-standing favourite since the hotel opened its doors in 1991.

A firm favourite in the hotel’s restaurants is the crab burger, the signature dish of Chef Coopen, Executive Chef at Shandrani Beachcomber.

The name Shandrani is said to mean “Queen of the Moon”, the hotel’s collection of treatments during this anniversary period will be entitled “Moon & Ocean Wellness Journeys”.
