A 14ft handcrafted sauna snug was launched at the Chelsea Flower Show by the Dorset based Shepherd’s Hut makers, Plankbridge.
Bringing together this Nordic pastime with a Shepherd’s hut design, this creation is designed for enjoyment in a pleasant garden setting.
Decorated in a selection of restful palettes, the sauna is made with the finest sustainable Finnish aspen and is designed to accommodate up to six people.
A choice of heat comes inside this model from wood-fired to electric in the luxury space. A wooden sauna bucket and ladle and a brass outdoor shower make this experience complete for the ultimate rustic adventure.
Designed to sit in an exquisite setting, this can double as a pool house with the benefits of a sauna to cleanse the body and rest the soul. A changing facility, and under-bench storage makes a pleasant convenience.
This year has been the twelfth year running at Chelsea and Plankbridge founder Richard Lee said about this new creation: “Every inch of the Sauna Snug is built by hand, from the wooden coat pegs down to the door latches, which are made in our own forge over Dorset charcoal. The level of craftsmanship is second to none. “
The sauna snug allows persons to be a stone’s throw away from their home, blending the outdoors with a calm and soothing sauna experience.
