Dating back to 1981, the artist Basquiat broke into the art world appearing on the streets, in the clubs and in the art scene of New York City.
Featuring drawings of heads with a stamp of the consciousness of a young black artist, his work has been headstrong throughout his career.
His identity is more than art. It carries the symbol of a legendary artist who speaks through over fifty works at this new exhibition at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art.
The collection of drawings spans the life of this movement from 1981 until 1983. At the end in 1988 the artist was just aged twenty-seven when he died.

The human head became a motif of this era that reveals an interest in anatomy, caricature and symbolic abstraction.
Curated by Anders Kold, the show also contains a fundamental interest in how the human interior manifests itself in the exterior.
God bless the soul of this unique artist that lived a short life, which was full of his passion for art.
Basquiat Headstrong Exhibition is to be held from January 30th until May 17th at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art for further information visit: Louisiana Museum of Modern Art
